This is an ornate iron frame with a plain enamel back plate, It is currently painted on the enamel plate with "Brocante" however this could be replaced with any design or name.

It is reminiscent of and contemporary with the Parisian metro signs from around the year 1900.

Some of the nuts and bolts have been replaced over time.
